This is a video I promised I'd make after I finished my vinyl videos! My good friend Derek and I talk about some of our preferred brands of headphones, turntables, amplifiers, stylus cartridges, and speakers. This is basically a rundown of the basics and some recommendations for those who may be starting out with building their own stereo system, and that's it. If you already have a system, or prefer other brands, that's fine. This video is just meant to give people with no stereos a starting point. Here are some of the brands mentioned in this video: Headphones: AKG Sony Sennheiser Turntables: Stanton Technics Audio-Technica Pioneer Stylus Cartridges: Shure Grado Ortofon Thorens Dual Amps / Receivers: Sansui Marantz Teac Yamaha Pioneer Music Hall Harman Kardon Onkyo Speakers: Fisher Jensen Boston Acoustics Polk Audio KLH Also, here is my setup: AMP: SANSUI STEREO RECIEVER 771 SPEAKER SET A: JENSEN JP500 SPEAKER SET B: FISHER STV-827 HEADPHONES: AKG 240s TURNTABLE: TECHNICS SL-1210MK2 STYLUS / CARTRIDGE: SHURE MM4-7 Y'all know this is our opinions, right?
