My Iphone really isn't able to pick up the sound quality, it sounds better then the previous z5500. I'd say that in comparison to the z5500, you get what you pay for. The sub will not play as loud as the previous version, but it's much more present, the z5500 sub sounded trapped and was overkill in addition to the speakers... I'd say, if you had the cash, go for the z906. I do not in any way regret buying this system. And since i live in Sweden where electronics are as overpriced as our dicks are big, i payed 500$ for this, worth it :) Reason I'm not running this on S/PDIF is cuz 'em cheap asses over at logitech still aren't providing it, at least i got the batteries for the remote... It's going via the Creative x-fi fatal1ty pro PCI-E soundcard wich really dosen't make much of a difference, but FYI... The z906 box weighs about 18KGs and the z5500 25KG, and you can fit two z906 boxes in the z5500 one, in this particular case, size doesn't matter...

It must be understood that this conversion is of a complete and fully-functioning wall box. It would require no technical knowledge or ability to connect it up yourself. You often see them in classic American films with scenes set in diners and many could be connected to a jukebox away from the tables, or to a "hideaway," a jukebox mechanism in a large wooden box, sited in a back room or a cellar, used in places where a full-sized jukebox would take up too much room. Simple and basic explanation of how bridging an amplifier gives you a lot more power! This is ideal for running subwoofers or if you have separate amplfiers for left/right speakers. Overview: - Stereo amps are basically two mono amplifiers in one box, working indipendantly. (some are only linked by a single volume knob) - Bridge-Mono amplifiers work by inverting the signal of the 2nd amp, and using both positive terminals in a push/pull duet to effectivley create double the power. This however is only stable at higher ohm loads and youll rarely see an amp that is 2ohm bridge stable. - Bridge parallel amplifiers work by combining both amps to push the same load together. This basically means each amp has to work less hard because there are two of them, meaning that the ohm load can be halved that of the rating of each single amp. For example, if each side delivers 400W at 4ohms, then in parallel mono you can have 800-850W at 2ohms. This is only effective if youre only powering one woofer; if youre powering two or more than you may as well use both channels separately unless the speakers are 8ohms and you want to lower the impedance to utilise more power. When i first looked at my bag of parts, i realized that there's still a lot to be decided by the saberbuilder himself, which i liked. The essential parts were included : the custom main LED heatsink, switch mount ring, recharge socket and emitter plug. My build plan started with the idea of a removable battery pack. No recharging solution since i wanted to change batteries on the fly, making it ideal for trooping. Secondly, the only decent sound pcb i had available at the time was US 2.5 so the latching switch was not necessary and was replaced by a 5mm accent led. Starting on the battery pack proved to be a bit of a challenge since the inner diameter of the hilt measures 28mm (4mm smaller then MHS parts). The only setup that could fit and was cheap, was a common AAA battery setup. However, when researching which battery packs were available, a 4 x AAA battery pack to get 6V did not exist with the dimensions i needed. The only pack i could find was a 2 x AAA batt. setup that could fit. I decided ...
