Alright, It seems some of you haven't read my uploader comments yet, the problem is SOLVED. It comes from a tiny little black speaker connected with two wires to the motherboard. I think it's intended purpose is for the BIOS beeps? But after simply pulling that off, the problem is solved. Ok, here's the story, when i got my computer a few years ago i had intermitant 'chirp' that happened every little while (from half an hour to a few hours between) and back then i assumed it was the hard drive. Earlier this year i upgraded my GPU from a Nvidea 9400GT to an Ati HD 5850 twin frozr. Now, when i play some games it makes this noise constantly with differing results for each game. The graphical settings seem POSSIBLY to have an effect but i think i has more to do with whether you are, for instance, looking down the street in a game as apposed to being inside a house. When I play Sims 3, the noise begins in groups of the buzzes and eventually evolves to a constant noise. When I play Cod4MW2 it is constant after only a few moments. Mafia II makes the sound sometimes if im out on the street and also during only some shots of cut scenes. When this noise plays, there is no performance drop. This disscussed earlier chirp is the same as the latter beep but only much longer is not constant. The noise also happens when i am doing things such as ripping DVDs (legally of course) and mining bitcoins. From this I assume it is coming from the GPU. Componants: ATI HD5850 Twin Frozr, Caviar ...
